Because I travel so much myself, I’m happy to infect my mum with the travel bug. So this Boracay trip is not mine, it’s my parents’. :)
It’s a shame though that their first visit is during the rainy August, when the whole beach is hidden behind tarpaulin wind breakers. Also recent incidents prompted Caticlan airport to be closed to bigger aircrafts, thus forcing us to land in Kalibo. And it was a bit of an agony having to switch 2-3 modes of transport before arriving! We had to travel 1.5 hours by land to Caticlan, albeit comfortable bus with sleek driver. As of the moment, only Sea Air flies to Caticlan, but airfare is way more expensive (and it’s a long story why we had to take Cebu Pacific).
We began our journey at 9am cruising Manila traffic to NAIA 3 and finally end up at Willy’s Resort by 4pm. It was indeed a whole day affair! My parents were tired and hungry when we got there.
Fortunately though, Boracay is worth the TRIP!
as always

I'm the lass who wanders. I began this blog to update family and friends while I was pseudo-backpacking Europe in 2007. Now it continues to serve as backup memory of my frequent wanderings. Hopefully can be a useful resource or inspiration for other travelers.

Bitin!
I've been waiting for this post. I think your parents had a terrific time exploring Boracay at night huh? And since it's now shoulder season, there are not as many people there compared to Holy Week and Christmas season.
Oh and I luv the musical scoring!!! :D

LOL@ Crystal… bakit naman bitin? haha
Yes, my parents enjoyed Bora so much. They cannot get over the beauty of the white beach, and we had just came from Panglao in April. It's good that it wasn't crowded and we get to relax. :)
Thanks for the video appreciation, if only for the score.. hehe… i'm just learning to make video, so still quite raw. I'll try to write more of this trip, and post photos… but we really did a lot of nothing within the 3 days chilling there. :)
Oh my gosh, this video was fantastic!!! What a fun AND beautiful trip. I really, really hope one day I can visit the Philippines, especially Boracay. What a place!!!
